It is the home of King Suddhodhan's father of  Prince Siddhartha(Gautam Buddha) as it is also the capital of Kapilvastu. It is believed that the Lord Buddha has spent his 29 years of his princely life.


4.     The Ashoka Pillar:
This pillar is tall whose height varies from 40-55ft. This is the 3rd stone pillars that were built under the reign of Emperor Ashoka. It is located near the Maya Devi Temple.


5.     Kudan:
This is the small village where there lie the ruins of huge structural with a cluster of four mounds and tank. It is a huge mound of structural ruins.
